Yes....Normally: Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic (cephalosporin) which stops the growth of certain bacteria common in infections of the respiratory tract, ears, sinuses, throat, etc. While it's not commonly used in dentistry, it is a safe and effective antibiotic. As with all medications, it can have unwanted side effects, especially if you are allergic to it. So, take it as directed and watch for side effects.
