Injury: If concerned about a fracture will need an evaluation and an XR to ensure that their is no fracture. sometimes symptoms may differ initially

Fracture care: Generally a fracture has mostly immediate pain with associated swelling and bruising over minutes to hours. Squeezing the affected bones will of course aggravate the pain, especially if it hurts from all sides and not just the point of injury (like a bad bruise). If this is a toe then just buddy taping will suffice if no significant deformity exists. Have an xray if it is more painful.

Burn baby burn.: Burning is one symptom of having a nerve being damaged. If the nerve was damaged during an injury, fractured bone or not, there can be associated burning. As in disco inferno.
