Delayed healing.: All your symptoms are subjective in nature. I think knowing objective symptoms such as swelling, angular deformity or discoloring might contribute to understand just what the problem is. Fifth metatarsal fractures are not the easiest to heal even under perfect circumstances. Radio-graphic evaluation might be needed to see if there is a delayed healing of the bone or just a post fracture neuritis.
