Yes: GFR is borderline but with history of diabetes and preeclampsia you may have related kidney disease which can cause or worsen high blood pressure. Your diabetes and increasing age will increase risk of uncontrolled BP for stroke, heart and kidney damage. Treatment is often a trial and error process to find best regimen. Follow up with primary and/or kidney doctor. Diet effect on BP may be small.

Had blood work done. My creatinine was 0.68 GFR >60 bun/creat ratio 37.9 urea nitrogen 19 sodium 139 potassium 5.3 chloride 106. Is this all normal.
