Lump: if it is painful and feels tender to touch, you probably need to see your doctor to see if it needs to be drained.

NO: Antibiotic ointment, tea tree oil, nor anything else you apply to the surface will not be of any benefit. Throw away these useless rip-offs and see a DR. Usually drainage is the only path to better healing of an abscess. If you have a tricholemmal cyst without inflammation it can be removed.
