Need more info: I think that using antibiotic powder may not be the correct thing to do and may delay healing. Try washing the area with soap & water then see your family physician for followup to help prevent infection and/or scarring.

No: The tannic acid will stain the skin but this is usually superficial and will peei off in 10-12 days. Once it does, massage the area with any good over the counter moisturizing cream a couple of time a day for 2-3 weeks
