Had a fungal toenail infection across most of my nails for essentially my whole life (17 yr old) and it feels humiliating. my dad also suffers with this. weve tried many different methods (tea tree oil etc) but i need to know how to cure it properly?

Stop trying over the counter and online remedies, most of which are useless. See a dermatologist: effective (if inconvenient) antibiotics are available.

This skin problem sounds more like psoriasis, esp if it runs in your family. See a dermatologist for confirmation and the proper treatment.
