Obstetrician: I am a great believer in a pregnant women not taking any medications-either prescription or over the counter ones-without checking with her obstetrician. I don't feel that your baby was harmed by this one time of taking Excedrin but be sure to check with your obstetrician next time.

Probably not: But a good policy is: you should always check with your OB Doc BEFORE you take any medicines incuding over the counter medicines ESPECIALLY in your first trimester.
