Post op pain: It is important to follow the directions on the bottle. Do not just take another hydrocodone. You should call the extracting dentist about your pain and the dentist will determine the best course of treatment. Even though this is the weekend you can call today.

Alternate w/ NSAIDs: Hydrocodone and ibuprofen combination is recommended to relieve acute pain after wisdom teeth surgery. This medicine should only be used for short periods of time, usually for a total of less than 7 days. If concerned call your surgeon for more information.
