Better not: Won't help, ibuprofen OTC double dose, unless contraindicated, read the labels carefully, or go to ER if pain still not controlled, good luck

Harm vs help: You'd be better off taking two aspirin. Probably not toxic, but loss of potency is almost assured. That medication should have been disposed of years ago.

Bad choice: Probably not toxic, but probably has lost all potency. Better off w 2 Ibuprofen every 4 hours until you get help. Toothache usually means infection. Pain killer will not cure infection. Left untreated infection will spread and do damage elsewhere in your body. Insurance or not, you must see Dentist for treatment quickly.

Seek treatment: All the pain meds in the world will not solve your dental issues, even medications that are fresh and not expired. Insurance or not, you need to see a dentist. Try Stony Brook University for less expensive care.

Save but: Safe but likely not effective. Take OTC pain meds and see DDS today.
