Central : Central nervous system and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Did your dentist prescibe your pain medication for you? Is your toothache following a dental procedure, or are you self medicating without being treated? Consult with the doctor who wrote this prescription. If your toothache has not been evaluated by a dentist, then i suggest you see a dentist to treat your problem.

If : If your tooth has a cavity i would recommend a thorough exam by a dentist and most probably if you have such a strong pain you might need a root canal or extraction.Your tooth is probably infected. Don't wait till you have an abscess .Infection can get to your heart and brain. Taking pain meds is a solution for no longer than 1 day. Be careful not to overdose on pain meds and not to mix xanax (alprazolam) and hydrocodone.

Here : Here is the bottom line, and i quote from the drugs.Com whose url is posted below: monitor: central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Management: during concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities. So you are at risk taking these two drugs together and you should really contact your dentist and have the toot ache taken care of as soon as possible.
