Patience please: He fluid may persist for weeks after the infection clears but should resolve without help.Avoiding airway irritants like smoke or fragrances can reduce the chance the eustachian tube will remain swollen & prevent fluid release.

Pediatric allergies: Very difficult since we want to avoid most decongestants in a 2 year-old. Ask the doctor since they might consider singulair (montelukast) in addition. Start with little noses saline spray up to 4x/day.
