Prolonged air leak after vats. surgeon said that he would operate to stop it after 14 days. changed his mind. how come? any ideas? 16 days now.

Persistent air: leak after lung resection usually requires re-operation, unless it slows down or stops with continued suction on chest tube. Ask your surgeon why he changed his mind. He must have a good reason.
