Be optimistic: Breast cancer is uncommon in women of your daughter's age. If the lump is not in the breast, but under it, then malignancy is even less likely. You are prudent to see a specialist to make sure. Your daughter is fortunate to have such a caring mother.

Depends: There is no reason to worry before the diagnosis is made; the worry doesn't make anything better. Once she is seen by the doctor, the likelihood (given the response) is that she may need a breast biopsy; the diagnosis mainly hinges on the results of that.
