Should i have my inr checked while taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). i take 5mg daily. and usually run btw, 2.5 & 2.8 monthly. bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is 4 urinary infection?

Bactrim may increase the effects of warfarin and therefore increase your INR. Discuss with your doctor or anticoagulation clinic managing your warfarin dosing about when to check your INR. They may want to decrease your warfarin dose while you are on Bactrim.
