Can i use monistat while taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) one pill two times a day? i have a yeast infection it's hurting me.

Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and monostat: Yes. However, Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) is antibacterial, and not effective to treat yeast infections. Monostat or Diflucan are the drug of choice.
