Plantar fasciitis: You most likely have plantar fasciitis. The plantar fascia is a fibrous band which acts as a shock absorber for the foot. With stress on the foot you can develop little tears. The treatment is arch support, anti inflammatory medicine, massage, and physical therapy. If the pain worsens get an X-ray to rule out a fracture, bone spur or other pathology.
