Need TSH: The most useful test in managing hypothyroidism is TSH/thyroid stimulating hormone. This measures how the pituitary is reacting to a person's thyroid state. If TSH is low, more thyroid hormone is needed, although 200 mcg seems like a reasonable/? generous dose.
