No: Calcified granulomas, especially the ones in the lungs, should not be removed - this would be an incredibly invasive procedure with risks that far outweigh benefits.

Where is it?: It depends upon where the granuloma is. A common place is in the lung. If that is where you having a granuloma then usually those are not removed. Once they calcify they usually do not cause a problem. If there is any concern that it may be infectious, they yes the doctors my try to remove it. Tell is more about this granuloma and we can give you a better answer.
