No, by definition: Stop worrying. Here in kansas city, one of the histoplasmosis capitals of the world, almost everybody has at least one of these. They're where you healed. Every once in a great while, a lung cancer arises adjacent to one of these. It's rare. There is nothing you can do to stop that beyond not smoking, which will help but not completely prevent it.

Unlikely: Calcified lung nodules are called granulomas. They are benign and can be left alone.

Worried about a solid lung nodule 4 mm in 2009 and is now 7 mm, non calcified, smooth borders. Rad said it looks like benign soft tissue, possible granuloma. Do non calcified granulomas grow, and could a cancer grow at that growth rate?
