Don't worry: A calcified granuloma is a reaction to an injury in the lung that usually occurred some time in the past. The cells invade the area of injury and over time the nodule or scar from that injury become inundated with calcium. It is not consistent with lung cancer. It has not physiologic effects on lung function.

Exists long time: Granuloma could be calcified because it exists for a long time.
