Probably: You will either need chronic meds, or have recurrent infections. Surgery should alleviate the need for all of these.

Possibly not: You call always have surgery, you can never "unhave" it. This surgery is purely elective. Do not feel obligated to go through with it if you think conservative therapy is helping. Speak with your surgeon and discuss the options with him or her.

Yes: The conditions that you described are still present, just being minimized by the steroid/antibiotic combination. The underlying problem still exists. The medications that you are taking will decrease the risks of an infection delaying operation, but you should not be on them long-term. Any questions you should contact your ENT surgeon. Good luck.
