I am 8weeks and my doctor did a ultrasound becuz my hcg is 41, 000 and he can't find the baby. i am so scared and worried. what's wrong?

Ectopic pregnancy: At 8 weeks, the fetus should be seen at either transabdominal or transvaginal ultrasound with heart activity. Since no fetus was seen the options are an early pregnancy of say 5 weeks (dates not consistent), spontaneous abortion or tubal (ectopic) pregnancy.
