Don't allow your: self-esteem to be dictated by your weight and other's comments. To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water /day. Try for 8 hrs of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit per day. Use whole grains. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.

See Dr: There are Drs who have special interest and experience with obesity. Beware of charlatans with wild promises of success with unusual artificial diets and supplements. There are several diagnoses to consider. Not all obesity is the same. A med school clinic may be the best place to start. Many people benefit from surgery.
