Start learning: If you are a newly diagnosed type 1 diabetic, i hope you will get set up with a diabetic educator and dietician in addition to your endocrinologist, because there is so much to learn in order for you to stay healthy. In the long run, it is the patient who manages the type 1 diabetes, so learn as much as you can right away.
