Adjust your insulin: and your diet. It is common when people quit smoking to have an increase in appetite, and that may be the primary cause. Smoking cessation can also increase anxiety temporarily and this can drive blood sugar up. Your primary care or endocrine specialist can tell you how to add short-acting insulins to reduce your blood sugar, and may need to adjust your long-acting insulins as well. Stay quit!!
