Prostate cancer: Biopsy of prostate would probably be next in line of tests if your urologist is suspecting it.

Possible: This psa level is high for all age groups, however there are other reasons besides prostate cancer which cause elevations of psa. Have an examination and review with a urologist who can give you some guidance.

A great : Question! no single psa provides an anser to anything. Ever had a psa before? My practice is to empirically order an antibiotic, and repeat the test in a month. If the psa remain high, or higher, the ultra-sound can see suspicious hyp-echoic areas sometime, but not always. A biopsy may be next step. If positive, there is a lot to discuss: from watch to treat.
