Have it evaluated: Why don't you have your own doctor evaluate the problem. It may just be a simple tendinitis, a condition which is increased in diabetes.

Diabetes: It may or may not be related to diabetes. If related to diabetes it could be diabetic neuropathy. Please check with your doctor.
