Possibly a ganglion.: Ganglion cysts are swellings of the linings of the sheaths around the nerves or tendons, arising usually after some form of trauma (which might just be a sharp yank or twist). They can get bigger and smaller as they fill and empty with fluid as part of the inflammatory response. The pain comes from the space they take up. They are seen with mri. If not this, have the nerves evaluated w/ emg.

Nerve irritation: Sounds like tennis elbow. Oftentimes the inflammation can cause swelling that affects adjacent nerves at the elbow. Try ibuprofen.
