Ask: Typically, if the equipment is being maintained properly and is properly calibrated, analog and digital imaging can be similar and diagnostic. However, there are advantages to digital radiographic images typically require less radiation to produce and image, and these images can be enlarged, colorized, embossed, and otherwise worked with to enhance the diagnostic data.

It doesn't matter : Modern x-ray perhaps has clearer picture and less radiation . Talk to your dentist or a radiologist in your local hospital about this.
