Absolutely! : Absolutely! just to check alignment and to make certain there are no root fractures. Also beaware of color changes, pain or "bubbles" in the gum that may occur later.

It : It is very important to get the baseline examination. This way, if something develops in time you can relate it to the accident and know what to do. The pediatric dentist will know exactly what to do.

Have him checked: Trauma to baby teeth can result in fractures of teeth or bone, death of the nerve of the tooth, torn gum tissue, tooth displacement, and/or damage to the underlying permanent teeth. Not a bad idea to have it checked by your dentist.
