Feel sick?: Appendicitis can start with dull achy discomfort in mid abdomen, often nausea, loss appetite, diarrhea, urge to move bowels (but can't); pain can move down to right lower quadrant (but doesn't have to), with fever, maybe frequent urination, worsening of above symptoms. Might hurt pulling right knee up to chest, extending right leg, or bouncing on heels from standing on tiptoes. Got any?C md or er.

Either: It could be either at this point. If the pain localizes to one specific location, it is probably not gas. If it persists, you may need to be evaluated by a physician.
