A member asked:

Are the upper molars supposed to resemble deep valleys? feel like bottom teeth get trapped in then when moving side to side

They can: Deep valley's usually happen on bottom teeth, but can happen on the top. Getting locked in with your bite is not ideal. Best to meet with an orthodontist to evaluate your occlusion.

Deep Valleys: Anatomy on teeth varies from person to person. Some have deep some have flat and anywhere in between. This can be due to genetics or due to individual wear habits and how your teeth meet. Have a dentist evaluate if it is causing you discomfort or concern. Orthodontics may be needed or even adjustment of the teeth in some cases, but avoiding tooth removal is always preferable.
