The second molars may be impacted, or possibly missing. A visit to your dentist with radiographs will answer your question.

Though unusual it's not rare. I've had patients with as many as 14 missing teeth. Talk to your Dentist about having an Initial Orthodontic Examination (usually free) conducted by an Orthodontist. to see if there is anything that should be done in the way of tooth repositioning to help prolong overall dental health.
