Carpal Tunnel: Sounds like you might have the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome. This usually wakes you up with numbness affecting the thumb, index, and long fingers. There can be all varieties of presentation though. I would suggest buying a wrist brace to wear at night. Try this for 3 weeks and if the discomfort persists, see your md for evaluation and possible EMG test. Good luck!
