Caution: From my reading, this test for fibrin degradation products is being promoted in parts of the world for purposes that are inappropriate. I would not trust this to tell you whether you do or do not have cancer, though it is of some value in looking to see whether a known cancer is back and progressing. Please talk with your physician.
