Mildly high white cell count (persistently mild leukocytosis) is quite common and I have several patients with this condition. Some medications can be the cause of this condition which is benign. No you do not have blood cancer especially this finding has been present for years.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if there are no symptoms and your counts are stable, this is your normal and not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
