A member asked:

When some lymph nodes test positive after removal does it mean there is cancer somewhere in the body or that their is just higher chance 4 recurrence?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POSITIVE FOR CANCER?: The exact test and situation needs to be clear to answer this question. For example with breast cancer the finding of cancer in lymph nodes is generally associated with a higher risk of the disease coming back. However haaving said that we now know that this one finding has little predictive value by itself, so i would consult with your doctor about all the parameters of your disease.
