Very Serious: Unfortunately, there are a lot of variables to this. Your cousin may have had cardiogenic shock and this caries a very high mortality risk. Without knowing some of the other factors around the case, it is hard to give more information. In general, cardiogenic shock can lead to renal failure and heart failure. Hopefully, he is under the care of a cardiologist and critical care. Go in good health.

Very sick: Sounds like he has what we call multi system organ failure where his whole body is struggling so hard each organ is not working right. It is very grave. His doctors are working together to to the best they can as he tries to heal. Pray for him.
