The main thing is to control blood pressure and limit daily sodium intake to no more than 2000mg daily.Also limit protein to 0.8gm per Kg.body weight.For an average 70kg.male +56gm daily.Read the labels because protein is not just from meat.Tell him to be approximate,no need to get obsessed w.these #s.Must enjoy life a little too.Good luck.
