A member asked:

Does having a high hs-crp increase the chances of heart attack if you are diabetic but you have good control over diabetes and normal blood pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

hs CRP is one of the markers of inflammation in blood vessels. Diabetes is a much more serious issue than CRP. It is good that you are keeping your diabetes and blood pressure under control. Talk to your doctor to check you your lipid levels. In case you need statins, those may also help with hsCRP. Wish you good health!
