Ice and elevate: The first thing is to make sure the fracture healed. If it has not healed it can also cause pain and swelling. Assuming the fracture has healed, it can take another 2 months for full swelling to go down, especially depending on the severity of the fracture. Therapy is good for strengthening and they can work on edema (swelling) control.
