Chronicle ankle pain: You should be seen by a "real doctor." You may need an MRI to assess soft tissue damage in the ankle. "Problems" are usually not age determinate. Whoever told you that ...stay away, assuming it was a doc. Go see a podiatrist or orthopedist for evaluation.
