Probably: If it is truly an isolated fibula fracture, then wearing a compression stocking can be helpful to reduce swelling, as can the application of ice and elevation of the ankle above the level of the heart. You would want to check with your doctor and make sure it is an isolated fibula fracture rather than an unstable ankle injury before doing so. Thank you for the question.
