A member asked:

What do i tell a patient with well-controlled ulcerative colitis re: a small adenomatous polyp on bx, no evidence of dalm, does she get add'l bx's?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UC: Well controlled/inactive uc with a small adenomatous polyp without dysplasia can be managed as you would any other patient with uc as long as you believe that the polyp was removed completely. Yearly colonoscopy if disease duration>8 years is prudent.
