See doctor...: It is possible that your cough is due to bronchospasm from some etiology. Possible causes of bronchospasm include bronchitis (airway infection), allergy, sinus problems, gerd and others. Once diagnosed, treatment includes bronchodilator and steroid inhalers. See your family doc first for evaluation and treatment. If you develop worsening symptoms, including shortness of breath, go to the er.
