See below: I would assume that you are talking about the toenail turning black. If so it is blood under the nail from the trauma of tight shoes. If not painful you don't need to really do anything. If painful see a podiatrist for treatment.

Toe or toenail?: Is the actual toe turning black or just the nail? If just the nail, this is probably not serious. It is most likely just bleeding or dried blood beneath the nail plate, you may eventually lose the nail, but a new one will grow in over time. If it is the toe itself, then a clot or circulation compromise may be the cause and that is more serious. Consult a foot specialist who can better evaluate.
