Decrease intake.: Controlling how many calories you consume daily will be your best bet to control your weight. Your height also plays an important role (bmi) in your risk for complications of pregnancy, so consult with your obstetrician to set realistic goals of weight by the end of the pregnancy (gain less than 10 lbs would be a good idea). Avoid sodas, bread, pasta, fried food, eating out - prefer grilled food.
