Not likely: Mrsa usually colonizes mucous membranes, nose, mouth. Although it is possible that you could become infected yourself, this more often occurs in patients with chronic hospitalizations, are immunocompromised or have chronic diseases. Colonized means that they live in harmony with their host unless they get into the bloodstream.
