Ask your PCP: Your pcp can easily refer you to a qualified endocrinologist in your area.

Depends: An endocrinologist deals with hormone problems. There are many hormones in the body so there is no way to know why you were referred without looking at the lab results. Ask your referring doctor why this was needed. The most common reason for referral to an endocrinologist is abnormal thyroid level.

ForAbnormalBloodTest: You should have asked this question to the doctor who referred you to the Endocrinologist.Apparently there is some abnormal finding in your blood test. I will suggest you call your doctor and ask what did your blood test show and why he/she referred you to the Endocrinologist
